MOTION

Over the course of my career, I’ve gradually developed strong motion design skills, picking up 2D animation techniques from talented peers and applying them to real-world projects. This hands-on experience has been especially valuable in creating engaging motion for promotional and paid digital adverts. My growing proficiency in After Effects has also significantly improved my video editing capabilities, enabling me to produce dynamic, eye-catching content I wouldn’t have been able to create otherwise. Motion design has become an essential and powerful tool in my creative toolkit.

AD’S FOR MISSGUIDED

Some examples of my work at Missguided, creating digital paid ads to advertise anything from peak sale season such as Black Friday, Instagram competitions and even condoms from a collaboration with Playboy. I would use Adobe After Effects to create all these assets.

FRANCHISE WORK 2020

MISSGUIDED FRANCHISE

During my time with Missguided, I was tasked to look after franchise assets in our stores. This was to help keep consistency with our franchises, make sure stores were keeping to the brand guidelines and promote our latest products. One of these projects was to produce some store assets for the newly opened Malta store, suppling their screens with fresh animated text to pull customers in. I created these assets using Adobe After Effects, ensuring they would loop back around to ensure a consistent looping of the video for the storefront.

EXPERIMENTAL WORK 2023

MISSGUIDED EXPERIMENTAL

During the Missguided relaunch project, I applied my motion design skills to develop a playful and engaging social teaser that hinted at the upcoming brand direction. In the studio, I ran multiple tests in the studio with the creative team, experimenting with typography, motion, and After Effects techniques to project dynamic overlays onto our model. I then edited the content into a bold, visually rich teaser that showcased the new branding and logo in a fresh and exciting way.
